Employability Assistance for Persons with
Disabilities
Employability Assistance for Persons with Disabilities
(EAPD) is a provincially funded program which addresses the specific
financial needs of individuals with permanent disabilities. EAPD will
assist participants to offset the costs of specific disability related
expenses. Such expenses might include:
- a complete learning disability
assessment.
- a tutor and/or scribe for
post-secondary school.
- Tuition to a basic upgrading
program.
- Any financial need not met by
Saskatchewan Student Loans.
EAPD will not assist with:
- tuition and/or books required
for a post-secondary certificate or degree program.
- Child care expenses.
- Basic living expenses (e.g.
rent, food, transportation).
- expenses not deemed disability
related.
Criteria: To qualify, a participant must be:
- 18 or older.
- Have or suspected of having a
permanent disability.
- Have a Saskatchewan Health
number and Canadian Social Insurance number.
- Be a permanent resident of
Saskatchewan (nonresidents can applied through the LDA offices in their
home province)
