Learning Disabilities Association of Saskatchewan
The Learning Disabilities Association of Saskatchewan is a non profit group of consumers, their families, and interested professionals. The mission of LDAS is to advance the education, employment, social development, legal rights and general well-being of people with learning disabilities and to ensure a society where people with learning disabilities can reach their full potential.
The Learning Disabilities Association of Saskatchewan:
- offers parent counseling
- publishes an informative newsletter of interest to parents and professionals
- maintains a lending library of books, video and audio tapes, films, teacher kits, and periodicals on learning disabilities
- plans and coordinates workshops for specific target audiences
- prepares briefs and position papers
- offers parenting classes
- vocational counseling and referral
- GED for people with learning disabilities
