About us
Learning Disability Association of Saskatchewan provides psychoeducational assessments throughout Saskatchewan. We are looking to recruit and gain a pool of qualified psychologists to perform assessments through our office. Although we do assessments in Prince Albert, Saskatoon and Regina, our primary focus is on Prince Albert. We have a demand in Prince Albert that requires many assessments to be completed in a year. LDAS is a busy non-profit organization with a mission to promote education, employment, wellness, and human rights of those with learning disabilities and ADHD.

Job Description
Are you looking for the freedom to set your own hours, work mostly from home, and determine your own caseload, all with the support of an established professional organization while having administrative support? This contracted position is a great way to earn income at your own pace.

Psychologists provide psychoeducational assessment services to clients we have acquired for your services. We advertise, market, and supply you with a caseload that matches your availability while maintaining a reliable schedule.

Suitable candidates must be registered members of the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists or working under the direct supervision of a SKCP registrant in good standing.

LDAS psychologists may work from anywhere n Saskatchewan, however the assessments must be completed in-person. The candidate must own a reliable vehicle, have access to reliable internet, suitable technology, an updated vulnerable sector, and police record check and be able to ensure a professional and secure environment to work from.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you should meet the following qualifications:

  • Current membership as a Registered Psychologist in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists
  • Relevant experience, education, with APE and training to provide formal psychological assessments with focus on learning, attention, and mental health.
  • Experience and competence working with gender and culturally diverse populations, LGBTQ2SIA+, and BIPOC clientele.
  • Experience with service provision through First Nations and Métis Services Health Authority and Jordan’s Principle an asset
  • Experience and competence working with individual adults and children. Consideration will also be given if you only have one of the competencies.
  • Knowledge of appropriate community resources in your service area(s) and demonstrate a collaborative approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work with diverse clientele and demonstrate cultural competency.
  • Competence with trauma-informed care and crisis intervention.
  • Weekday availability an asset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide psychoeducational assessments on a contracted basis within your defined scope of practice and areas of competency and interest.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation regarding client care and case management using our Jane scheduling system.
  • Consult and refer to other professionals and community services as necessary.
